In Immediately, I Thought the Worst / Dazzle, Randulv visualizes her experience of a three-month-long inflammation in her right eye during 2023. The condition caused red vision, blurriness, and vision loss in the form of three white spots, at times even revealing the shape of her optical nerve within her field of vision. Throughout this period, she faced the risk of blindness while simultaneously feeling captivated by the distortions created as her pupil and iris attempted to fuse into a new form.
This work explores the fear of losing control, counterbalanced by the strange fascination of surrendering to it.
